as some of you may know... my latop got infected by several viruses a week ago. i believe i have gotten rid of all of the viruses but now my laptop can no longer connect to the internet via wired or wireless connection.

ive found that i have this wierd CSNW icon on my control panel and it seems to be the problem. its Client Service for NetWare and its annoying.

i cant seem to get rid of it no matter what methods ive used.

plz dont give me things such as:

1.check and edit Registry
2.control panel and uninstall NOOB!
3.network connections and Uninstall NOOB!

^^^ ive tried those and it has gotten me no WHERE!

any solutions would be heart-feltly appreciated

I was going to edit my post, but I forgot. Anyway, it looks like you've had LOADS of trouble with this, I would've just copied my most important files to my MP3player and reinstalled everything a long time ago. Now you obviously have the opportunity to do so, why not before it gets even worse?

This breaks my postcount, but whatever.
Why don't you just download windows XP? Or even better, TinyXP Beast Edition? (PirateBay..)

here
I had the same problem and found this solution and it worked!!
Solution: (1) Go to (Start) (2) Then go to (Control Panel) (3) Search for (Network and Internet Connections) or (Network Connections) or (Dial-up Connections) (4) Then you should see two sticking monitor icon, named (Local Area Connection). Right click on it then choose (Propertise) (5) Then when you are in the Local Area Connections Properties dialog box, click on the (Client services for Netware) and it will be highlighted, then only you'll click (uninstall) (6) And then for sure you click (YES) that's wat you wan, right!!!? (6) Wahlah, if you can follow the steps until here you are finish, Congratulation, you can proceed to change your settings to the Fast User Switching option or the Welcome Screen option

well after 6 hours of tinkering with my computer...

*drumroll*

I FIXED IT!!!

but my laptop still had a stupid startup screen but thats a little issue i can deal with. after searching through and around with the Services and CMD for nearly 5 hours straight and hardcore DOS, i finally got that stupid client off my laptop.

i didnt think it was possible but it was. searching through all those values and service programs were a pain but well worth it.

the solution is complex to the point of programming beauty, but i digress.

all i have to say is that i defeated a vicious malware and grave situation.

thank you all for following me through on this saga as I conquered the viruses and system errors.

@kingstun: that wouldnt have work since the client services for Netware doesnt show up... AT ALL. but thanks for trying to help.

Just put a magnet to the HDD. That always solved it for me.
