I was looking at a post about how Jagex detects macros, and I was hoping maybe I will be able to figure something out from it. Not decipher it, but something to help us understand it. I would like you to send what ever is in your random.dat file after you auto. Just delete it before you auto, go to runescape through a browser, auto, open you random.dat file with notepad, and send it to me along with your character level(combat) and level of the skill you used, maybe with the time you used. Then delete it again, get back on that account, but don't auto and just do a few things for a while. Send that to me too. I also would like to ask that you send n private chat. Any help will be appreciated and maybe +rep.
EDIT: I am doing this to see if there is a connection, such as the same symbols, but not necessarily in the same order, and then sending my findings to the smart people to see if they can find out a way to overcome this, without having to delete the file all the time. I found my random.dat at C:\WINDOWS\.jagex_cache_32

Oh the other hand, what if you're a worker for JaGex?
(I'm not trying to hijack, but more information on RS cache files can be found in my tutorial, link in sig.)

didn't i sign some document saying i wasnt? like an agreement when i joined, and if I was and I did I couldn't take anyone to court because I would have broken the law. Also... how could it help a jagex employee if they have it anyway?
i am not going to say (s)he is from jagex, but (s)he could be
since if (s)he was from jagex.. (s)he would know for sure you autoed..
and could bann you in a second.
and otherwise (s)he had to look into a lot of random.dat's even from legit players..
and now (s)he can bann people faster;)

It's not about taking us to court. Because you can't even if you didn't sign any document since autoing isn't ILLEGAL it's just against the game rules. However, you could ban people. And analyzing symbols won't do much. People have converted those symbols to text.

You people are far to suspicious of Jagex spies.

ok heres the deal, i am NOT from jagex, I am willing to swear on the Bible and for Atheists I will swear on a cheezbrgr or whatever it is they worship. But think of it this way : if we know what it means, like what it determines, we can find a way to keep it from reporting to jagex if it does. However, now that I look at it, it is the same number of characters as my password, so you might not want to send them to me. I don't know if that is coincidence or not.

I doubt anyone will do it with their account at risk, but IMO it is just a random number of random characters that Jagex puts in the file, so if a legit user opens it they will just leave it alone, thinking it is part of the Jagex game images. If it is empty, the common user will usually delete it. Therefore, with stuff in it, a user should leave it alone for Jagex to track you ;)
