well all you need to do is take out your RUBIK'S CUBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this tut im going to explain how to do the rubiks cube ok first of all u need a rubik cube and a brain that can remember alot of patterns...

just go to this site

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsQIoPyfQzM
and the second part is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IW_BBp3FPMQ

this vid was not done by me but if you want to pls rep me and 5 star this thread

1) Fi U Li Ui

2) Ri Di R D

3) U R Ui Ri Ui Fi U F

4) Ui Li U L U F Ui Fi

5) F R U Ri Ui Fi

6) R U Ri U R U U Ri

7) U R Ui Li U Ri Ui L

8) Ri Di R D

the vid will explain about all of these patterns and what they mean

if you want to learn how to do the 4x4 rubiks cube you can go to these youtube sites
its by the same person btw and dam hes the best lol

there are 3parts to this bid so here is the first

honestly im really not smart enough to learn the 4x4 rubic cube so if you have lernt it post it on this thread and man ur good!!!!

list of patterns you will need:

1) L'*, 2U, L*

2) R*, 2U, R'*

3) L', R, U, F, U', L

4) D*, R, F', U, R', F, D'*

-PARITY ALGORITHMS-

1) 2U*, 2L*, 2U, 2l, 2U, 2L*, 2U*, R, U', L, 2U, R', U, R, L', U', L, 2U, R', U, L', U

2) 2R*, 2B, 2U, L*, 2U, R'*, 2U, R*, 2U, 2F, R*, 2F, L'*, 2B, 2R*

3) 2r, 2U, 2r, 2U*, 2r, 2u

4) 2U*, 2L*, 2U, 2l, 2U, 2L*, 2U* F', U', F, U, F, R', 2F, U, F, U, F', U', F, R

5) 2r, 2U, 2r, 2U*, 2r, 2u

vid will explain more

have fun doing this

now we have come to the 5x5 rubiks cube!!!!! here are some links on the vids that teach you how to do it

P.S you cannot do the cube without these patterns well i dunno if you can
Incorrect. The method described in that video is just a basic layer by layer method. There are many other methods online(Friedrich method is the most commonly used by speecubers). There are i believe 80+ algorithms needed to solve the cube using the Friedrich method. You dont need to use all 80 in one solve, but you need to have all of them memorized for rare cases etc. http://puzzlingaddiction.com/Cube/f2l/. I myself have done the Rubik's cube in 36 seconds without the help of the internet. :) Have fun guys! You dont know how addicting rubiking can be!

I love solving the rubik's cube..
I only have a record of maybe a minute... unfortunately my algorithms are poor. (i kinda figured them out my self) so i don't know if i do the same ones as the videos. =/

but yea. :)

I have a 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4 ;)

fun fun :D

wow 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4 thats realy cool lol i only can do it with a 3x3 cus im not that good at remembering all the patterns for the 4x4 but the 2x2 one seems easy but its not lol

hey guys added a 4x4 tut now and the links to the vid have fun!!!

You need to say 3x3x3, or other wise you are just describing a square. The
3rd Dimenstion is the most importent! Gosh, did you ever pass basic 3
dimentional shapes?

The 4X4 one actually isnt that hard... Once you have the algorithms down, you just have to learn how to mirror them etc..

Best time with a 3X3X3 - 34 seconds
Best time with a 4X4X4 - 1:42. >.<

TheChineseMan
05-21-2008, 10:04 AM
lol my best time with a 3x3x3 was 3 min 30 lol how do u do it that fast and i just got a 4x4x4!!!!! :)

i used these videos about the time they first came out, to see if i could get faster, but I guess the instructions that come with the cube explain it all, it took me a while to understand it though lol. I wish pogo had been around when I first got mine, he is much more clear.

Lol, i dont want to spend the money to buy a 5x5x5 cube... :( I have a 3x3x3 and a 4x4x4 cube and i can do both of them.. So i figure the next one i need to conquer is the 5x5x5 but i don't want to spend the money. :(
