Hi!
I am thinking of buying a 32gb iPod Touch! But they are deadly expensive... I want to buy it off Ebay Canada. So, is it safe to buy an $0.99 iPod off Ebay(Canada)? And how can I buy it with out a credit card if I have an unverified, empty Paypal account?
Please answer very soon!
This is the link to the auction:

ipod touch 32Gb = around 400-500 USD
ipod touch ebay 32 Gb = 0.99$...sounds fishy.
Thats common sense. Also you can easily do a money order, thats what I did. But I bought my iPod touch from Target lol. I love it.

are they from hong kong? if so, no. most hongkong sellers are bad. Also buy it from an apple authorized retailer, that way you get great service and warranty.
0,99$ is a scamm for sure!
DON'T BUY IT..
ebay is safe.. that person not

LInk to the thing on ebay? Its probably an auction, and the starting price is just 0.99. check the sellers feedback also, if its above 50 then its probably legit.

But what makes you so sure he hasn't 'boosted' his feedback up with fake accounts? And then he's making this one big scam? Could we please have a link? And excluding what I said earlier if its over 95 you should be okay.

it looks very legit, and paypal and ebay are very safe...
some time ago I got uber hacked...someone got into my email account, and my ebay account, and my paypal account...all same pass...:(
Anyway, they bought a $500 USD rolex from someone in the UK, and then had it shipped to some place in kenya...(all with my accounts, and he deleted the info so I didn't catch it right away) and then I looked at my bank account...and I was in the hole $200. So I did transaction history things and found out, shit, I bought a $500 rolex... :O and I only had like $300 at the time. Well I filed a claim with paypal, and after like 4 days I had my money back, but the poor guy selling the rolex didn't get it back, because apparently they forwarded the package to somewhere else...so paypal and ebay couldn't intercept it.
SO, in my experience, ebay is VERY safe.
And that seller has a TON of rep, and the price is much higher now, it was an auction started at 0.99 because the listing fee is cheaper the cheaper you start the auction.
And with your credit card, you can just add it to your paypal account i think, so you don't really need to be verified to buy things (UNLESS the seller asks to make sure that you are, they should say something in the auction listing). And you can just pay over paypal with the credit card.
Happy bidding!
Also check thier rating always by from a 98%+ Rating person ;)

That person is a legitimate seller because he has the rank as a Power Seller, ranked by other people and eBay themselves.

i'd buy from a shop if I was you
you get customer support
and if it breaks or something you could always buy a warentee (however you spell it) so you can get a new one.

There are two main rules consumers should use:
1). Try to buy direct; second rate products that blow up your house are your fault.
2). Follow company reccomendations. Apples? Buy from their website.
