SCAR Version, what version to use?

Hey, i was checking some scripts and i realised that some scripts say: use SCAR Version 3.12, another say Use Scar 3.14....
Well I'm here because my doubt is:
Should i use the version said in script or the newest version should always work better because if have the lower versions commands/functions plus new ones?

use the latest one (scar 3.15b)
the ones that say use an older version are probs out of date and will most likely be detectable and might have compileing problems
go here (http://www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29375) for the best ones (which as far as i know are not outdated)
