Need help setting up scar portable version!!!

well first off i would like to know what scar portable is for exactly....

i think its for putting it on a usb memory stick and then can load your scripts and scar on any computer, even if it doesnt have scar downloaded. Is that right?

Then i had trouble putting it onto memory stick, so if possible could some do a detailed explanation on how to put it on. Thanks.

Yup, its so you can just put it on a portable memory storage device and use it without downloading anything on the computer you're using it on. I believe all you have to do is put the downloaded file onto your memory stick, and when you want to use it, just click on it.

If you have ever download SCAR the regular version before, it's almost the same. You first need to go to the official website but instead of clicking on downloading the normal version, go to the side button and it should say portable version. You can download that file any where on to your computer and it won't matter. Then after being downloaded, open the file and then follow the directions. It the same as the regular version except until you get to the part where it asks you for the installation destination. This is the part where you have to pick the file that you want to download your SCAR onto and use. Usually this will be some sort of portable device like a flash drive (USB) or an external drive. Then keep clicking next until you are finished with the whole installation wizard. Now you can take SCAR with you and use it on any computer.

The only difference with portable and regular is that in portable version, SCAR will save you settings into the folder you installed it in, instead of saving it on to your computer. This way whatever you change in SCAR will stay with you. The portable might though be slower than the regular. That's a bad part.

woudnt it work the same really if u just copied the files whereever u installed them and put them onto a USB and used it?
