Well, today i logged in... and found out i was banned for 3rd party software. Ouch, even worse it was on my main. Does anyone have ideas to getting my account back, and could someone advise me on some preventive steps on not getting banned in the future?

Just for giggles, here is my exaggerated appeal, sent to jagex :]

"Dear Jagex, I never used any 3rd party software, i have no idea what that even is. There is no evidence, so i see no reason to ban me. I shouldn't be responsible for something i didn't do, i spent years working on this account, and it's really my only escape from my horrible life. Please this is my escape, and the only way i can get away. Please reinstate my account, i did nothing wrong"

Eh, hope it works.

Nope, nothing funky. Just Junior scripts and free for all scripts.

Simply ran scar and the script.

That might be it. The script you used probably had little to no antiban stuff, such as moving the mouse more humanlike, and became easily detectable.

If it was a 10 day/0.5 BM, no need to appeal. If it was 10 BM and a perm ban, I would say: GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR APPEAL! Sorry to disappoint you, but Rule 7 appeals is declined 99.9% of the time if it's not from another IP adress.

And saying there is no evidence just shows that you didn't read the rules: :p (not that I care, just pointed it out.)

5. Will I be able to appeal against a ban for macroing?

Our policy has always been that we do not tolerate any form of cheating. We do not ban accounts lightly. Significant evidence is always collected before any action is taken against a player. We will not reveal the evidence that we have collected, since most cheats only want to know the evidence so that they can avoid getting caught the next time.

So yeah, you maybe realized that you most likly never will be able to log into that account again. :fiery: I feel sorry for you. I know how it feels...

Phew long post...(h)

EDIT: Fixed some typos, there's more? Tell me!;)

Eh, that's very possible. I was using quite a few scrips.

Well yes, it was a perm ban. And it has really been the first ban i've ever gotten. I could understand why they wouldn't reinstate my account, and i wasn't using a proxy program at the time, so same ip address.

^^ Yes, i didn't. I'm guessing they don't need evidence eh?

They do seem strict on the anti macro, i like how they explain what software is for question number 3, haha.

Silly thing is, i just started back into runescape. I'm sure as hell, going to keep hacking. I only lost a lv65, and i can get another character with macroing past that fairly easily. I'm still pissed, but I'll be sure to be more careful in the future.

phew, long reply :D

Use the fucking search. Only thing you can do is appeal, and I'm 90% it'll be rejected. And DO NOT make a new thread for getting someone to write appeal for you, search.

No offence. But there's hundreds of threads like this.

The thing you got banned is probably because you autoed that skill or script for too long. Max week or so is recommended. Think - it's obvious that you auto when you do same routines for 2 weeks..

Antiban isn't needed though.

my advice is going to be the same as it is for every other thread about this...Make up something completely random that could possibly happen. Don't exaggerate to much. For example:

Dear Jagex,
In response to my recent Permanent Ban, I am sending you a letter of appeal that outlines what I have not done, nor ever done. I have never used a third party software. Last week I did receive a very nasty Trojan virus that crippled my computer and uploaded a ton of questionable software to my computer. Luckily I did catch it in time before it killed my computer and completely reformated my hard drive. I found out that I was banned the day I got my computer running again, trying to get a reprieve from the hell my life has been for the past couple days. Only, my life gets worse as my character was permanently banned. I worked on this character for an extremely long time and put in a ton of hard work. I understand the rules of the game, and I know that you are hard on 3rd party software (as you should be, it is very bad), but I cannot see how you could permanently ban me for something I didn't do. Please consider this appeal as you weigh the decision on whether to un-ban me or not.

Best Wishes,
Whatever your name is

this is just a really rough letter I wrote in like 5 minutes. Clean it up, add some things, but essentially the same format. But next time use the search function, as there are many threads about this.

In the past, I've found telling the truth and saying you've changed will get your appeal accepted a LOT more often than lying about botting. I've tried both, and telling the truth has proved to be a lot better. Jagex is 100% sure you were using 3rd party software.
