Dad block runescape ip address

how can i still access runescape? he blocked it with our linksys router.
i was thinking maybe a proxy but how would i use?

Whenever I need to use a proxy, I use JAP and FoxyProxy (Firefox only). I use JAP because:

1) Its cascade method makes it infinitely more anonymous than any other type of proxy.
2) It always works.
3) It's free!

So download JAP http://anon.inf.tu-dresden.de/index_en.html

Download Firefox if you haven't already http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Install the FoxyProxy plugin for Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2464

Then add a new proxy in FoxyProxy with address "localhost" (sans quotes), with port "4001" (again sans quotes). After adding this proxy run JAP and connect to the free cascade server Dresden-Dresden. Then open Firefox and right click the FoxyProxy icon in the bottom left of the window, and select "Use [whatever you named the proxy when you added it] for all URLs". You should then be able to play RuneScape.

Even if it doesn't reset the password, or it resets it to something you don't know, the block should be gone.

i did this and picked ctunnel, it works more then the others and it shows the runescape game frame, all white with a red x in the upper left corner. please help..

Unplug your router from the power for a few minutes - if it is gay like one I have at my home, it will erase all settings, then you replug, and you have RS :)

Here is the PING reply to world1.runescape.com (RS worlds do NOT respond to pings, so people can not DDoS them as easily :p )

Have you tried pressing the reset button on your router (you need to press it with a paper clip or something, it's small) then using the default username and password (just google your routers name and find the manual for it in pdf format on their website, it will be in there). Once you do that, go to the default ip for your router, login, then remove the ip.

My dad's not stupid with computers either... but we have 4 computers Online here almost all the time and the only thing he's blocked is unknown MAC Addresses :P Only thing is if we do something we're not supposed to he takes ALL the computers away.. Not just the internet or blocking websites, we're literally computer-less for months lol. My dad pwnz tho :P.

If you tried to use a proxy I've found that most of them do not support java, I'm not aware whether or not there are any that do?..

if there are let me know, I couldn't find one that wasn't blocked when I had school that allowed java.

Calm down. No need to resort to flaming right away. Whats wrong with a private server? Its the closest thing to Runescape he'll get if his dad blocked it and is pro at computers. If its an addiction that he needs to feed, then a private server will surely do it. The nostalgia once he logs on the private server is well enough to replenish him of his miserable days without Runescape.

Stop getting mad over the simplest of things.

By the way, you can still go to the library. I'm not sure about where you live but in my area, all the libraries are full of kids playing Runescape. You just gotta wait your turn on the computers.

Does the power ever go out where you live? If it does, reset the router when it's only you in, and when/if your dad realizes that RS is unblocked, tell him that the power went out. Quite an understandable story.
