I am working on learning vb.net in school. Will learning Scar effect my vb.net programming in a negative way , like me confusing certain functions ?

no! In fact, learning any scripting language helps you understand computer programming in general. ;)

FYI: vb.net does not share many functions with SCAR as they do completely different things.

I'm 100% fluent in VB and VB.NET, and I find my knowledge of VB/VB.NET helps drastically when I code in the SCAR language.

Yea, what they said is true, Learning scar before I learned C# and VB.net made it easier.
