Silly wabbit, SCAR could work on almost any RAM amount, it has a very small footprint.

But judging by the amount of RAM you have, you don't have a nearly decent graphics card or processor. So that may be a big problem.

I have no trouble running scar, smart, and runescape, on an xpsp2 virtual machine with 256 MB RAM.

However, by seeing that you have 248 MB ram, I think that 8 MB of your ram is used for your graphics card.

An 8MB Graphics Card (integrated especially) is a big no no for scar/smart/rs

The ram is fine, but your probably using a very poor video card or processor if it doesnt work. Computers are fairly cheap now. You can get a good one for 700-800$ now. Just DON'T get vista.

Why not get vista? It works completly fine for me, no problems at all. My old computer (5 years old) had 512mb ram and it could barly run rs after the graphics update.

My computer has 2.5 gigs of ram and I think a 256mb video card. I can run Runescape and all those things pretty good.

i don't know if that would work i have a 1 gb or more ram but i am not sure my dad built my computer.

Well it should work, but it depends on the speed of the memory. Say it is DDR2, or 3 then it should have no problem. however if it is say DDR or PC133 or lower, i doubt it will run very well.

Off topic: I wish SCAR ran on linux (it doesn't does it?) because it takes a lot less memory..and uses it better.

It would work fine. I used vmware with 256 mb of ram on it and it runs runescape perfectly, a little laggy tho. Scar wouldnt be a big stretch

Well yes my computer used to work with Scar but now i upgraded my computer ^^ I believe that scar doesn't require a specific RAM.

SCAR can easliy run on 256, maybe at 128 too.
