Hello and welcome to Signature of the Week #1!

Basically the idea of the game is every week a new topic is stated, and a signature has to be made on that idea.


A few ground rules, first;


Please put a URL underneath the signature you submit please, as I will need this for the voting thread.
NO modifiying a signature, if you arent happy with it, dont submit it.
READ THIS RULE!! DO NOT Say "Nice sig" etc. SAVE THIS FOR THE VOTING THREAD!!
Only one entry per person per week
Do NOT copy signatures from other places
Stick to the topic at hand
ALL signatures must be 400 * 150 in size
Do not say "Oh I like that sig" save that for the voting thread
Dont recycle old signatures. Make new ones.
Stick to these rules!
Have fun and be creative!



After this Sig of the Week finishes, I will create a new thread for the judging of the sig's we get in that week.

Interesting.. Also a suggestion, how about a rule to not use old sigs? So people will need to make new ones and can't take part into many competitions with the same one etc..

why make a set size?, make more like a max size and a minimum size, when I use to do graphics more my sig size would vary depending on which render I would use or what I wanted to incorporate into it

and you SHOULD be able to CHANGE your entry as many times as you want before the deadline...just you have to have only 1 to entered...

well I totally agree with not posting feedback on sigs and then re-posting, I hate that but one should be able to 'change' or 'modify' their entry before the deadline...my opinion, i've just always thought it makes for better competition

How about the future SOTW's be submitted trough pm, so no one can see each other's before voting, then you could change as much as you can.

Im sorry nicbaz but your dq'd because your first was not the right size, sorry.

Im posting this NOW so it does not crop in later Sotw's.

1) IT is a limited size because it is alot harder to find a good render that scales down to the right size/ stretches up to the right size. If you find a great render that looks great big but not so good small, you make a big sig. Same size sig = more fair.

2) NO modfying, like c0de says, if your not happy with it than you shouldnt submit it.

Wth? Blueberryjam?

And no, for two reasons:

1) Its not exceptionally hard to find a stock out there

2) There might not even be an image in the signature, so its hard. you just have to trust them.

Original plan, the original result aswell, was a lot cleaner, with the logo, then text with no Blending Options on top of it and a clean plasm under the text and logo, but it looked a bit poor so I just exploded the shit...

Btw, extracting the logo was NOT fun, had to use magic wand with selections of like max 30 pixels to not grab any of the background...

make a size restriction area and not a set size...having a set size will limit everyone's creativity by tons

The set sig size IS kind of big and irritating, atleast IMO the sig will look uglier and it's alot harder to make, atleast to me. Maybe the max size could be what is now the set size it has to be? :p
