Made me very sad. :(

But, it's a very good song, and the message is very good.

It's a really good rock song.. doesn't sound depressing at all tbh... maybe the video does in the beginning but that's it. Maybe it's the way you look at it

The song and the video is based on a true story.

When the lead singer of that band was 15, he had a girlfriend even though his parents were very religious and wouldn't let him. On the same time, his girlfriend used meth and became very obsessive or something, I'm not fully sure about the full story, but it all ended with his girlfriend killing herself.

That was a very tough experience for him, (especially at age 15) so this song means a lot to him.
Try looking up the lyrics and see if you understand some of them.
