I personally think this is the best visual basic version, all it's successors are all .net based.

Agreed. vb6 is best...
but visual basic language is considered to be junk
it is said that no self-respecting programmers would never go near it..
i personally have experimented with it for about a year or so.

I got VB .net 2003, but my guess is its a bit outdated. :D. Version 6 is still my favorite, I used to have working model edition but I lost the CD :(. Right now I'm torrenting this thing. Is it VB professional or student or what?

I use vb.net. I don't get what everyone sees in VB6 that is so great http://www.runehq.net/RHQInn/style_emoticons/Light/huh.gif
I don't know why people dislike .net
VB6 is a 10 year old piece of junk, imo.
@Freddy, you can link them(or quote me) to my download topic on Mopar's if you want:

I'd take that 10 year old piece of junk over those newer, worse pieces of junk any way ;)

Notice his wink?
I personally like C++, but VB is a lot easier to code in. I use it to teach people as a step before other languages ("people" being friends)

Freddy, is this ISO safe?
I know that most of the releases (unofficial, unauthorized) of VB6 have viruses. That's why my last computer died.

Download it and try a neat lil thing on the computer called an "Anti-Virus scan"

Newer viruses are being released day-by-day =]
I ran a virus scan on the last one, still got a virus.

Computer is only 256 MB RAM.
Waiting for Christmas to get a new computer, 4gb.
@ Sink - There is such thing as vb8. But, what he's referring to is Visual Basic 9.0, which is actually Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition.

Go to a friends, a public location, or steal one.
Or, spend $50 and get another gig of RAM.
whats the difference?
Syntax, mostly.
