i have got battlefield 2 but it wont let me play because it says my computer is offline because i cant log into something and i need some help with this

well when i go to open bf2 it says your computer seems to be offline and i made an account for the download manager but it doesnt work but now it doesnt work at all and my computer seems to have taken itself offline totally.
it just wont even open it up so i cant logg into it and play it

i havent played bf2 but i had a similar prob with cod4
did u register bf2?
did u check the internet setting in the game?
did u check the settings in ur firewall?
are u playing the latest version/patch?
did u check the bf2 forums :P? (this actually helps alot)

Well i checked and asked that question on the bf2 forums but the answers i got didnt help i might just reinstall it on my computer and see if that works but ive done all these but they didnt work thatnk you anyway

Are you using a cracked version of bf2? If so then it might be something corrupt in the crack or that the online mode isnt working. Just trying to help.

Its abit of an old game now though

You should check the new fps games out, better graphics and gameplay. bf2142 is alright, but theres others.

bf2 uses punkbuster, which tbh, annoys me like hell.

i got it to work but online still isnt working
i was using the wrong account cos we bought it off ebay through ea online and i needed to use the account i bought it with

I would never buy second-hand online games that requires a cd-key, especially ebay. If you still decide to buy it second-hand (which you did), don't expect the game to work online, especially if it's cracked. Anyways, make sure you're connected to the server (check firewall, peer guardian, etc.). If so, type your cd key on google to see if it has been known to the public. If so, then the cd key may have been blacklisted, which is not good, and I would complain to the person who sold it to you. However, I believe something is blocking you from connection to their servers. Try disabling your firewall, or anything you think may block u from connecting for testing purposes (don't ever turn off ur anti-virus). And don't touch Punkbuster, or Gamespy Arcade. You need to install both of those during installation. Try reinstalling if nothing else works.

Its not second hand , its brand new, and its legit, it used to work he can sign in but when he clicks the JOIN server button the whole game just exit's.

Then he probably needs to reinstall, or choose another server (depending on his location), or he needs configure his connection (try disabling firewall to test it out). I wonder if he has played a game similar to BF2 or that has online play that uses servers (cs source)...
