um, in the program files (86) is there a scar folder, cause i'd suggest deleting that, then also, did you run the installation as an administrator, as in, right click then run as admin, also you could re-download scar. Finally i'll just throw this out there, not saying do it, but ya know, it's always an option, re-format.

go to computer, local disk c: or whatever it is for you, they you should see like Program Files
Program Files (x86) <--Where most shit is saved to.
well, that may only be in the 64 bit versions of vista but i'm too sure.

x32 Vista Editions show nothing. In x64 bit, they show (64) and in x86 they show (x86). To navigate to the Program Files folder, go to "C:\Program Files\" usnig Windows Explorer or the Run Command.

Just try a reinstall, then run as administrator.
Because scar is working with vista, it does with me.

Change the scar.exe settings?
Like change to admin, take off read only etc, See if that helps.
Redownload, Reinstall, Restart, And try it again.

how would i take read only off?
1. Which file/folder are you doing this to?
2. To do so you must: Right click the file/folder, Click Properties, and un-check the Read-Only option.

Delete C:>Program Files>Scar x.xx (the version you have now)
Re-Install Scar again.
