Hai there~

Yesterday, I reformatted my computer with Media Center Edition. Everything went alright, as it seems.

Well, I get around to installing programs. First problem:

I downloaded and installed the latest Free Download Manager. Every time I tried to run it, it would pop up with "Free Download Manger has encountered a problem and needed to close.." Blah blah blah.

The same problem occured with SCAR 3.15

I also have problems with Java. I tried installing it, and it says something about an error with a program running during installation (It does this near the end of installing).

It seems obvious that I have some compatability issues. Any idea on how to fix them?

Please help meh!~

is this media center edition fake? sometimes it's why it doesn't work.

ROFL. I figured them out.

For other's sake, if they get this:

To solve the SCAR problem, I got Windows Installer 3.

To solve the Java problem, I installed a way earlier version, then installed the newest.

I got one more error for a missing DLL (msvcr71.dll). I simply downloaded it and put in my system32 folder, and BAM! It works ^.^

Hope that helps someone~

I have reformated my computer many times and to me it seems like your Media Center edition didnt install properly due to corrupted files before you reformated, reformating your computer again with the correct drivers should work properly

Spammage?

I already fixed it. And believe me, I have the correct drivers. It took me three days to get my modem driver, so yeah. Everything else is per windows.

35 posts and still registered? That is.. Odd.
