Hacked

I have just recently had my account hacked by someone who is not from SRL. I have talked with this person, who said that they used key-logger to hack my account, which brings me to my first question. How do I get rid of the keylogger?
The guy also said that he has changed my recoveries, (which is true), and that my transaction ID won't work. Is there any truth to making a transaction ID not work?
Finally, I'm open to suggestions on how to get it back, as its been my main for over 5 years, and a pretty good account. (look up on highscores, griff721)

First of all, Changing recoveries takes 14 days.

Download a anti virus, run a anti virus scan. I suggest AVG.
When running the scan, disconnect from the internet via your router whle your running the scan, this will stop the virus from sending out more data.

go to c: program files and see if theres any programs which u dont no there!

yeah what they said, just get anti virus and run a full virus scan.

I'd restart your computer in safe mode and run a McAfee virus scan.

Then start going through all of your unneeded programs and files.

If it is still there reinstall your OS. (900 posts!!!)

If worse comes to worse, just start over, you have no 80+ stats and that will be simple to get with light autoing and a little bit of legitimatize.

Well to get your account back the first steps that would do are:
1.) Download a anti-virus (any one is good)
2.) Once that is done Download CC Cleaner (removes unwanted junk)

Once you have done that find out what your IP is and ISP. Wth that info you should be able to get your account back knowing that you don't know your recoverys. Oh and also try to remeber when your account was created.

yea find a good keylogger antivirus, maybe ask him what it is called? i recommend Spyware Doctor, you do have to pay for it but its the best on the market atm, if he tells you what its called search it

Wow a 5 year main hacked, unlucky man. Getting rid of the keylogger is easy using AVG etc as mentioned above but recovering the account may prove harder. Go to recover account and fill in as much information as you can, you have all the previous passwords and hopefully old pin numbers from membership so you have a good chance at getting it back, if that fails then send in a customer feedback to Jagex and notify them of what has happened, unlikely to yield any results but worth a shot reguardless.
