yeah, i was fixing to auto a minute ago and i saw that in a folder called C:\windows\.file_store_32\runescape there was a few files that were just made within a few months and they are DLL files.. i wonder what they are used for. anyway the names of them are browsercontrol.dll jogl.dll and jogl_awt.dll. they have to be used for something and they can be exec on your computer so it got me thinking about it.

Wow. They place .dll's in your Windows/jagex_cache_32 now?
I doubt they would, really.

I cleared my cache and revisited RuneScape on low detail. No DLL's. On high detail, however, DLL's were added.

Throw them in Dependency Walker, and see what it gives you... :)

EDIT:
JOGL is a Java package which provides bindings to the OpenGL libraries for the Java Virtual Machine. This allows computer graphics programmers to use the object-oriented tools for Java with hardware-accellerated 2D and 3D graphics while leveraging their existing knowledge of OpenGL. The introduction of hardware-accelerated graphics should help to drastically improve user-percieved performance in graphic-heavy Java programs.
This tutorial is intended for students/programmers who are already familiar with Java but have no prior knowledge of JOGL, OpenGL, GLUT, GLU, or any of the related graphics toolkits. This tutorial may also benefit programmers who are familiar with GLUT/OpenGL programming concepts in C/C++ who are trying to learn how to write graphics programs in Java using AWT and JOGL.

that program is confusing. but ill just tell you what it says for browsercontrol.dll
- branches out to lots of dlls it uses (kernel32, user32, opengl32) and most of the functions just have to do with graphics.. it also looks for EFSADU.DLL which isnt there..
the other 2 dlls are pretty much the same and have alot to do with reading pixels, coordinates, and graphics. but i dont know shit about it so i cant really go any further than that.

Well, it doesn't look dangerous. I think you'll be safe with these's .dll's.
Read my previous post, they are used in the graphics engine. :)

Browsercontrol also lets you click a button in runescape, ie the message center button, and have it open a new browser/tab.

Yes, they are just graphics acceleration DLLs used by the JNI Runescape uses.
