Antivirus is very importan program on your compyter it deleted all crap(or it should do that) Bad antivirus-Program can use very much resources.

Nice. Dont forget, AVG is a good free anti virus. (www.download.com)
Also, if you're willing to pay, NOD32 is a very good anti virus and is updated daily.

Another thing you should add is that in
Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services
You can set all programs to manual... meaning it only turns on when you need it and it turns off when it's done. This raises the overall quality however opening a gazzilion things at once will tend to crash your computer if it sucks like mine. Also just turn off stuff your never going to use.

I have started using the Hibernate function of XP and it have made turning off and on the system quite pleasureable (about 20-30s from the pressing of power button to the system completely restored.

True... but Xp Sp2's firewall only blocks information flow into your computer, not out. So its a one-way firewall which isn't effective like the professional ones. For example, it won't stop a trojan from sending logs and private date out, whereas a two-way firewall could detect it and you'd be made aware that a trojan exists on your comp.

However before you install new firewall software, you'll probably need to disable the windows XP firewall as it can conflict and cause problems (and it is a waste of system resources).

Personally, this is all noob 2 me. I dont have firewalls antivirus, spyware or any bs on my computer and i havnt a single virus or piece of spyware.

the way i see it is.
1) if you get it, ur a noob.
2) they are easy to remove manually
3) antivirus is a bitch and slows down ur computer
