Format it....?

Like in NTFS or FAT / 32?

Never heard of doing that, why would want to? Or do you mean just erasing it? Like a CD-RW?

I'm formating because i want to Burn an ISO Image to the CD but it's not empty. So yea, need to format it. I am using a CD-R Maxell Compact Disc, 700 MB.

If it's not CD RW, I am pretty sure you cannot erase what is on it.

You can't format it as such, but if it is only a cd-r then you cant get the data off.

spend 25c and go buy a new cd disk? and i dont think you can delete anything on them unless it's a cd-rw disk

Want to format a CD-R?
Break it xD
Want to format a CD-RW(ReWriteAble)?
It's kind of easy if you have Nero or some burning program, there should be a option to erase a disk or something.

Best one. As for "formatting" it, don't believe it's possible with a CD-R

You can't erase data on CD-R's. however, if it is a CD-RW, then simply putting it in should be enough for Windows to give you an option to browse the disk, and then "Erase all files on disk".
