I've set up a proxy that seems to be working; when I go to whatismyip.com it displays the proxy's IP and not mine, but for some reason when I log onto RS it still displays my real IP address next to "Last time you logged in".
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Jagex uses java which is installed on your PC, to find out your correct IP Address.
And as far as I know, you cannot change it.
Using a proxy will not work, they are as nerd as they look :)

i dont have java on my computer but RS still works for some reason. i think if you delete all of your cache and temp files, ets then try the proxy again it will probably work

You have Java on your computer. Runescape will not work without Java no matter how much you want it to.

I tried your suggestion and it still doesn't work.
Is there some special way you have to set up a proxy through Java or something? I can't get this working.

Control Pannel -> Java -> Network Settings
Fill in your proxy info. I think that's right, I've never tried it.
Note: It can't be one of those web proxies, it has to be an ip address and a port.

Wow, this thread has been informative. If only there was a way to get a script to switch ips before switching characters or something.
