when you get banned and at the top of the letter it says something along the lines of 'Effective date: 7th March 2007' does that mean that is the date which they got the evidence from?

I am pretty sure that means that is when the ban has been initiated. So if it was a ten day ban it would end on March 17th.

no it cant be. my main is on a 10 day with 3 days left. its just weird because that is the date it says it was effective on..

At the end of the day, it is probably Jagex's way of wording things. And if it took them a year and a half to look at the evidence and ban you... Lol that is kinda bad. Probably just a mistake on their part.
