Stupid h@x3rz... Anyone know how to get rid of Antivirus Pro 2009? I tried everything except re-installing windows :fiery:

I just re-install windows whenever I get a virus or some such. ;)
Bust out the install disk.

find and delete that values:

try a system restore restore computer back to the date before you installed dat program

some viruses block this from even starting what you do is rename and start from a command promt :p should work then.

Some variants do, others don't. Some come complete with a security center fake, even inserting it in control panel. More and more of them are coming with rootkits that block a blacklist of program names as lemonfuzz said. Some strains also redirect google searches so you can't download what you need. ComboFix with MBAM (both renamed) gets a lot of them.
