Well, I'm having trouble finding a laptop that could suit me :\

Here's what I want on it -

* 3-4GB of RAM
* 150GB+ HD
* Decent GFX card (someone give me a short lesson on what a good GFX card is? :))
* < 6 lbs
* ≤ 15.4" screen
* ≤ 1000$

And a fingerprint reader for security would be kinda cool, but not required :rolleyes:

Any suggestions?

I would recommend to buy one used off the internet. Ebay or something similar, used good are usually 50% cheaper than new commercial items.

And, fingerprint readers are just crap.
Trust me, I have one. I NEVER use it.
Ever.

Hmm... Thanks, I'll try to find a new one for under 1000, but if I can't, that's probably what I'll do.

Thanks for the heads up on the fingerprint reader :p

Starting at 949, and they're like 7 lbs+ :( That 949 would get me like the cheapest GFX Card, 1GB RAM, etc.

I carry like 11-12 lbs on my back already, hitting 20 would be a health hazard, 15-16 maybe I'll live.

@jakeyboy

Thanks, I'll take a look at those links. EDIT: Mmm, is the shipping free to US? If not, then It'd probably cost a couple hundred dollars just to ship it :\
