Trouble with .BMP

I'm having some trouble... or maybe i'm just a complete noob. ^^

When I try to save an image in paint as a .BMP it turns the image completely black, is it supposed to do this? If not, how can I fix it? :confused:

save as 16 btm should work :)

Save as .PNG good quality and small file size.

You trying to take a screenshot of a movie or such? If so, well then it's normal, if not see above.

I think you are saving it in the wrong type of bitmap setting. Just check it there is two different types.

Well I don't know about you but paint for me automatically sets it up as a 24-bit Bitmap. That's what I use.
