2GB/mo isn't THAT bad. IMO the "Similar Threads" bit at the bottom of each thread should be removed.

Agreed. 2GB per month isnt bad at all. Tbh you could move SRL stats to a free host and access it on a different URL.

SRL uses around 130mb per day, well I use more myself at home (around 500mb/day).
Basically it's more of the CPU load which is high, and SRL is hosted at a dedicated server.

To be honest it would be better to cut the costs by moving things elsewhere. Things like SVN, SRL Stats etc can all be moved somewhere else?

Well, I'm using a host called 000webhost, and it gives me the following:
Disk Usage 23.1 / 1500.0 MB
Bandwidth 100000 MB (100GB)

Idk if it's enough for things such as svn and srl-stats, but who knows.

The amount of bandwidth that that would save is negligible... It would save some SQL calls and possibly CPU time, however.
