Okay, what graphics card is she using? If she doesn't have one, then what onboard chipset is it?
Yeah its got to be something with her graphics card, and if its not then have her run system restore quick.
She says she doesn't know the graphic card, thats the problem :p
And this isn't because she played a game, this already starts when she reboots ;)
Also, this started yesterday, so its not like its always been this way, lol

Get her to Press "Alt+Shift+PrintScreen"
Looks like she has her computer in high contrast to me.
hmm, I really am not sure. I personally have never seen anything like that, She didnt change her color settings or anything correct?

To find out her graphics card:
My Computer -> Click on View System Information (on the left of the window)-> Click on the Hardware tab -> Click Device Manager -> Expand the Display Adapters folder...thing

It's not a graphics card issue.
It looks like she is in High Contrast or Safe Mode.
We tried the Alt+Shift+PrintScreen thing, no succes, she was on normal contrast.
She didn't change her color settings ;)
and shes not in Safe Mode?

If it was the monitor, it wouldn't show up in a screenshot.
And just have her double check the color settings. Also, have make sure she's done a virus scan recently.

didnt think of that :duh:
No magnets, no safe mode, no nothing!
She tried rebooting, everything..:(
Sorry man, but Im out of ideas :/ maybe try finding a Windows Forum online quick?

Just have her run a virus scan to be sure. I don't think that's the problem, but you never know.
She has run a virus scan, and her pc is clean ;)
Wizzup?

Isn't this standard for any Windows Desktop?
Heh, this is not weird, this is standard behaviour for any windows desktop.
Anyway, check the drivers. If you are sure those are fine, click on the desktop, and start messing with the colors a bit. It looks a bit like 256 colors.

Alternativly, try to update graphic drivers, if it doesnt work, your graphic card is burnt up, my friend had a similar issue
