Do a lot of scripts use each other's code? Obviously not for walking and you wouldn't use mining procedures for woodcutting scripts but do some scripts use some code from others?
If this isn't the case how could people see fit writing 1500 lines of code from scratch?
Sometimes if 1 person writes 1 thing thats really good then someone else may ask to use it in there script. Tho it would be highly frowned upon and not respected at all to just throw together everyone elses scripts and release it as your own.

You'll notice people who write many scripts have a system. For example you'll see many of my previous functions in all my scripts that are used a lot.
I also get asked for permission from people to use a certain function - a lot. If its credited correctly then its usually alright. This is similar to citations in a research paper.

well, i hqve rather big scripts, but only parts of them are from scratch. all the antiban + antirandom + responders etc care just copy pasted. and besides, 1.5k lines isn't all that much. and it also depends on how much time and how perfect you want a script to be. and for example what it does. if it mines at 1 place or at 5 places.
