its strange because the file is the same size as all of the files put together but i cant access it or anything
it has no extention so i dont know what to do with it
if someone can help me then i will give rep++

Probably corrupted or the harddrive on ur usb stick or whatever is broken, if the files u try to access are important u should get it repaired, usually they can repair it, some files might be lost however.

Yes, you were probably writing a file when it was removed, or data was being processed. Use the Windows Safely Remove Hardware next time.

Definitely corrupted, and ya, most likely from not removing properly...
I've also heard of having data corruption from leaving a stick in too long, having it heat up (alot...like to the point of nearly melting the plastic) and then having data transfered...

it's corrupted and you can't do anything about it :(. right-click -> format -> FAT
it will delete everything.

Many thumb drives can only be formated to FAT/FAT32. Have you tried running a disc scan on it?
Properties>Tools>Check Now...Try to retrieve bad sectors.
What file type is it?
