Get your drivers updated.

I can almost imagine Wizzup's comment here:

Why on earth are you going back to windows?

You can use Windows Update, or Google your network card's name + "drivers", and you should find what you need.

You should have a CD of your mainboard \ network card somewhere..

no cd... or we wouldnt be here. computers old but decent (was good for its time). and all Im asking mainly, is whether or not there is maybe a program or something that can show me the name of my network card. It can be either Linux or Windows because I have both on the computer, and the Linux connects fine. That is what Im using now.

Windows should TELL you what drivers it wants.
As long as you have access to the interweb and a drive, if you just google em you should be set.

*If windows is being dumb...(it does that sometimes)...google should also tell you what drivers you need to run your card*

i think the card is too old for windows to recognize... buy a new one, they're not that expensive

Yeah, it was a 2003 network card lmao. I found the drivers while surfing on linux and fixed it. Thank you for your help.
