Make sure you right click SCAR, Run as Administrator.

Does that make a difference if you are already on an admin account?

an easier way to avoid the problem, is to turn off UAC..(User Account Control)..

with UAC off just be careful on what you download..

wow thanks! i had this problem about 2 months ago- just scrapped my old computer and got a vista. tried to auto and srl wouldnt work!>.<
