I found scripts online that seem to require these files, and from what I can tell they're quite old...should I avoid using these scripts or are they still decent, just riskier?

yes... you should avoid using those as they are outdated(squig and osi are very old includes). I suggest only using script for scar from this website, because they don't steal accounts and are moderated!
