By new, you mean no SCAR, SRL, SVN, or anything, right?

Find a tutorial for setting everything up in the tutorials section about those things then.

If you can't find anything at first, you will find SCAR, SRL, S.M.A.R.T, and Reflection to be very hard to bot with.
I suggest that you use RSbot, although not as much variety, it is much more user friendly for someone who does not understand programming.
