Okay. So, you see on the sides of this forum how there is a blue background?

Ok. I want to do that, but I just want it to be a slight black to white gradient, so it looks like this:

I want it on both sides though :S

I'm kinda used to GIMP...I just got PS CS3..Now, how would I go about doing this?

HALP!

Use the gradient tool. It is the rectangle that has a gradient on it. Select it then select the black and white option at the top of the interface. Make sure you have a tall image. Drag the tool from left to right... then create another image the same size and drag from right to left.

If you mean incorporating the image into a site. With Dreamweaver you use layers... p.m. anonymity, he did a page like that once.

Ok. So, I would create both of those images, and then just have them both aligned differently? Ok. I understand.

...Ok...

I meant that when you use the tool, you drag it in different directions. If PS it makes the gradient go the way you drag it.

You might also just do a mirror image of it. It's under Image>something like rotate (has the color settings by it) ...

I don't have PS on this computer so I might be off a little.

Aser, when I do that it erases the other gradient, and puts the new one on.

When I try making 2 layers and doing it the opposite on each, the bottom layer isn't visible :S

Erase some of the upper gradient layer, then.

TViYH : in your gradient options, it should be set to normal, change it to overlay or some else ;) so that it won't erase the other one.

OR.

Blending Options on the layer --> Gradient Overlay --> Set the angle to 0 --> Make the Gradient to it goes;

You want to sides to a web page right?

Make two different images not two layers.

Just make sure you use the same image size.

Ah, I know what the problem is ;)
Select the gradient tool, and look at the top, theres a drop-down menu there, choose the one that is color -> squares and not the one that is color -> white

That fixed it :)

Thanks.
