Why have "Armies" ?

Hey guys,
As many of you might have one, I was wandering why people use "armies" to macro? Is this fun? Why? Yes it may be less detectable but what's the point of that many accounts?

but wouldn't it be easier to just have 1 character, he would get better at that skill (say woodcutting) and it would make him cut faster, meaning more cash..

That is assuming that you are logged into multiple accounts at once... which i don't think can be done, unless using multiple computers or vmware or whatever it's called.

But what happens if that one guy gets banned?

And no, for the most part we don't have more than one character logged in at once.

I have a pure ess mining army. But I use RSBot with it, because SMART takes up too many resources for my computer to handle 4 at once. I'd prefer to use SRL, but what are you gonna do :(

Anyway, I've made about 25m in a month, and have bought a decent main with that (for 4.4m), and now all my cash is on him. If I hadn't been scammed a couple of times when buying pins, I'd have like 30m. So basically a 3-4 man army is getting me 1m a day for a month with minimal effort. Keep in mind that they get 10 days bans after a full week of autoing, so technically I'm mkaing 2m in a day, a day that they auto anyway. Armies are t3h s3x :)

:p Cool, but how many blackmarks do they have each on them? Because I'm pretty sure the next bans are going to be perm for rule 7 as many members are getting permed after 1 Rule 7 >.<

Edit: On topic, well, I don't use an army because I am too lazy, but recently, my account has just been banned (perm) and for ONE macroing offence. And I am member..wtf? And well I will maybe use an army :D. But you can transfer if you are members :D. Or sell the money you get :).

Well I had a nice army for a while, but they permed almost half of the army (2 out of 5). They are all low crater (cb48-55) and got full rune, pretty useful when transferring to use them as protectors, or to BH at :P
So why I had an army? I had one for the fun :)

So you have 3 pure ess miners which you paid mem for then when the mem goes you pay for mem with the money you've gained autoing from one day and then you have 27 days worth of botting left and give gp'z to your main,

They all just ran out of membership, so I'm dumping them. I made 3 new accounts (all you need are a couple combat levels and 41 mining), so I'll be OK :)

Simple, You can auto with WAY less suspicion. Also if your one character gets banned, then you gotta train him all over again. Plus, if your char fails in a script, you have no others working so they can no longer run. If you have more than one, the other accounts can still run the script. :)
