I'm new to scripting. I don't have a lot of time to sit down and go through tut after tut and teach myself everything, so I have a few simple questions and I'll be on my way, if that's alright with everyone :)

As the title says, I want to write scripts for other online games, daily computer tasks, basic functions, and other things unrelated to runescape. I have read most of the beginner tuts. I have a general idea of what I'm doing, but not to the point that I can do it and make it work.
---------------------------------

So SCAR is generally built around runescape. How would I start off developing scripts that don't use antibans, antirandoms, walking, or things like that? (Forum games mainly, things that aren't 3D.) I would like to automate tasks like autoclicking links, pictures, typing URLs, etc etc.

Specifically, how would writing non-RS scripts affect how the script works? Since banning isn't a problem, the script doesn't have to attempt to replicate human interaction with the computer.

Sorry if this isn't specific enough, or if it's confusing. I'm trying to find a good starting point for scripts outside of RS, and it's a little hard to do.

Thanks in advance for the help :D

You could just use the basic Scar functions: MoveMouse, ClickMouse, SendKeys and so on. Press F1 in Scar to get a list of functions.

Lets say you wana use it for Slavehack (googled Forum games and this is what I got)

In Slavehack there are buttons here and there, colors and TEXT, text is like the game.

You could make an easy script to check what your computer IP is by making it go to the area with the text 'Username @click to show' (that is an text in the game wich shows an IP of your current game computer) once it is done, make it read the text between @ and the ] and you got your IP, debug this and you can get your IP.

That was just a small way you could start out, but in forum games and such there are mainly text based, so all you really need to do is read it and then make the script do something when/if it sees an text / object.

Scripts > Flash Games..

it will give you 5 scripts that if you run (with the site open) will destroy the game (in an OMG YOU'RE SO PRO AT THIS GAME sort of way ;))

you could see how those work if that's what you're asking :)
