This is for people with at least 10m-20m to spend.
Until you have that much money, I suggest you go fish, wc, hunter, w/e you want.
This tutorial is made by me and only me :].

WARNING: YOU MAY LOSE MONEY!-TAKE YOUR OWN RISKS BY MERCHANTING AND UNTIL YOU ARE TRULY PROFICIENT IN MERCHANTING, YOU MAY LOSE MONEY, AND EVEN IF YOU DO BECOME GOOD YOU WILL STILL OCCASIONALLY LOSE SOME PROFIT. *but profit far outweights loss trust me :]*

Merchanting in the GE.. FOR DUMMIES..

1. go to the grand exchange page on the website.
http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/frontpage.ws
2. look for a item. now theres many ways. you could either go look for the highest risen items and try to merch those. *not highly suggested*
I suggest looking for your own item and try to merchant it.
items i suggest, rings*z rings/archer/w/e*, dragon items, barrows items, godswords, armadyl armor, bandos armor, bolts, fish, herbs, potions, bars, etc,etc
IT IS ALMOST GOOD TO MERCHANT ANYTHING*i find that ores arent that good lol*

Now as an example:
Let's say i want to merchant...

*example only*

Let's say i stumbled upon the Dragon 2h Sword.
I see that today there was a loss of -15.3k
So, if the prices for the item are:
856.1k *min*-Market price: 901.2k*med*-and Maximum price: 946.2k *high*

I would put offers in ge buying Dragon 2h swords for around 860-870k, around 10k above the minimum price.

*MERCHANTING REQUIRES PATIENCE*

after you buy the items, you resell the items, in this case, i would resell the sword for around 895k.

In conclusion if I bought each sword for 860k and sold for 895k, i would make 35k each sword I buy, and if I have 10m to work with, it would be 350k while 20m would result in 700k profit.

Note that the limit for weapons are 10/4 hours. and you need to wait 4 hours to resell.

2 other examples that work for people with 10m or less:

CANNONBALLS

Minimum price: 180 Market price: 189 Maximum price: 198

Buy for around 184-185 sell med price

4-5 gp profit each, limit on these are 25k/4hr, but very easy to buy so easy profit.

~

and basically you could merch almost ANY item on this list:

I was stupid and traded off my RSGP when I quit playing, figuring I wasn't coming back to play ever. Well here I am again and I have a whooping 4 mil in value. lol

Thanks for the guide. I am still trying to figure out the GE merchanting strategies.

Could be worse. I did the same and have about 0 value. All I have is my full guthix book and some skeleton armour.

Can't you just realize that this thread is 3 years old, just like Kyle Undefined said. Its hard to believe that you're actually a human, not a spam bot, not trying to be offensive, but dude YOU SPAM TOO MUCH.

O have a question. What do people buy, in terms of dragon armour?
I've never used that kind of armour and I need an idea. It might sound a bit off topic, but it's not ..
