cpu usage

i don't understand why scar is constantly using 20-30% of my cpu.

i have AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz and a geforce 8600gt

it just doesn't make much sense to me

Is this while you are running scar or while it is idle?
If it is while you are idle then you problem.
If it is while it is running then it is understandable. SCAR uses a lot of cpu power when it is running. My laptop can hardly run it at all. =(
