How to get past a program run time limit?

So anyways, hypothetically, if I had a program that, for example, could only be run for ten minutes at a time before terminating, how would I get around that problem. Is there a solution for it?

I mean, maybe freeze the internal time countdown thing so that it could be kept open for longer than ten min.

It's possible, but probably illegal. And we don't do illegal things here. Or at least we're not supposed to.
