Hi! Well I want to set up a site to sell items basically. But I have no idea what I need to do really.

I know intermediate HTML and how to use DreamWeaver decently. And I know I would need a shopping cart program.

Do I have to make my own site from scratch?
Hosting? What do I do?

Just give me the rundown.

I've found a site with a shopping cart program on it that claims to be pretty good. http://www.zen-cart.com/ Anyone know about them?
Other than that, I'm fairly clueless. I'm just getting tired of eBay charging me out the asshole for everything I do lol.

You dont really need any third party software.

Just stick a paypal link on the page...

The shopping basket is another problem, if its really nessisary.

Well you would probably need a PhP order form. But yeah, you can get "Buy" links that go straight to Paypal, so you dont even have to code any PhP. A shopping basket isnt neccessary.

Some webhosters give you free tools like the ability to sell things online. I use 1&1 for my website (completely unrelated to rs) and they allow me to put a buy function in as well as many other functions. You should have a look.

Once you get your hosting set up, you might want to look into learning javascript.
