Hobbit needs GFX HELP :) (Site Banner)

[Hobbit]

So since I epicly fail at this whole creative artsy stuff I need some help with a website banner.

So what I'm looking for...

-A darker color as the background (Black or dark grey or something)
-Shiney sleek kinda look
-Focul point to be "TheHHD.Com"
-(Optional) Somewhere define the acronym (The Hobbit Hole Database)
-Some fancy sleek images to do with databases and hard drives and stuff.

I like the size and the "Sleek shiny" part of it but the text is a bit hard to read and the tree's dont really fit.
But I like the look of it :)

I like how its more square and the size of it and the First set of text, not so much the second so much.
Also maybe add something more in there and make the text off set a bit to the right of an image or something.

Actually, the reflection you put defeats the purpose of a banner. Banners are sleek, thin, and simple.

That reflection is like, 3/4 of the actual banner's size. It's too tall compared to the width.

You say mine is simple but I made all of mine. You just got a photo from the net and put some text over it. I dont think your text is that complex either, just a bevel or stroke or something. I dont like the look or position either, it just looks randomly placed.

You can scale it a bit. If I change the text of Hobbit Hole Database than it is completely scalable. I can make it longer/shorter/oranger/girlier/thiner. Whatever you require.

Yeeh. At the moment the text is a 'pixel' font, as in it only works at a certain size at a certain point.

But if I change it to a conventional font it should work at any size smaller/a bit larger. When you make the image larger it always screws the image anyways, but making it smaller would look the same just a different proportion.

I small change the small font tommorow.
