Hoi. I have on my Laptop the most recent drivers, etc for my video card. Though, on videos that have been recorded with a real camera (when I watch anime the problem does not happen) there is like a weird rainbow border around and in dark edges, and often just a weird amount of pixels that go crazy on a dark spot in videos. Usually is in light shades, with usually a white base to it. What do you think it is, and how would I fix it? It is annoying to watch TV Movies on this computer now :(

Edit: Woah, it must be a monitor problem on my laptop.. if I screenshot the part that looks weird, then drag it around, if I drag to the far left, it is fine. More to the right -> white. More to the right -> Yellow and blue.
Could it be a videocard to monitor problem? Or is the monitor faulty?

Edit2: Here is a pic of a movie, circled in red is where a large amount of the cancer is. Sadly I am too lazy to get a physical image of my screen. http://i44.tinypic.com/2by2kg.png

I think it's your monitor. Something similar to this happens with my T.V. :/ Picture looks fine for me.

Very high chance it's your monitor. If you're confident doing so, take out your monitor TFT panel and see if you can find a replacement. They usually run $50-$100.

EDIT: If you want to verify that it's your monitor, boot up in a linux live cd.

Heh, this is actually a very expensive and special monitor on the laptop. I am not going to take it apart. I think my laptop is still under warranty, but I doubt they will replace it, as they will deem it as "a few broken pixels, which is common in all monitors". :(
