Out of Memory with SRL

it has nothing to do with scripting, so i figured it would go in here =p

so, when every i try to run a script with SRL in it, i always get an "out of memory" message box error. this only happens when i run it with srl, and not a basic scar command

iv been playing aorund with it for a few days, and it stumped me ;)

What scripts are you running? How long does the script run until you get that error?

Your computer sucks or the priority for scar.exe or something is really low.

I am guessing it may be your RAM. Its too low!

Either your RAM is low, or SCAR has a memory leak.

what version of SCAR are you using and please post an example of your SRL script that fails with the area.

I will laugh if he has SCAR 2.03.

But try restarting your computer to free memory leaks and look if the script in question is freeing the DTMs and BMPs (and forms). If not, try adding it :).

its probabily just because u havent been freeing dtm/bitmaps redownload srl see what happens

o wow. forgot about this thread =p just to sum it up, scar is version 3.20(the fixed version), the begining of the script, as in once i hit play, scar freezes, then i get the error. it cant be the RAM(although it does suck i have to say) since it worked perfect before i changed to rev 32 or w/e, unless rev 32 just needs a LOT more ram then 31. and this happens in any script that has srl, scripts thats purely scar based works

Try doing a clean install..

Uninstal SCAR then manually delete the SCAR folder then reinstall and update SRL to rev 32.

If that fails please please please post a full script that fails without it we can't help!

As far as SRL/Scar 3.20x goes, there are various issues with colour finding, object finding and bitmap finding. Until SRL is updated to fully work with SCAR scripts can be fairly unpredictable.

oh i know to never use pure SCAR scripts for rs.. also for an example of script:

{.include SRL/SRL.scar}
begin
MMouse(100,100,0,0);
end.

if you need any thing else other than that, then i honestly have no idea what to say :P

Also the script you just posted would be nub :'(.

You need SetupSRL;

But that is besides the point.
