What recorder program for best quality??

Whats the best recorder program that gets you the best quality, not Fraps, it gives me the most crappy quality there is.

camtasia is an awesome program. Nice and easy to use. It's 200 dollar though (*COUGH* not if you find another serial *COUGH*)

I use HyperCam to vid and Sony Vegas to edit.
YouTube makes the vids I make HQ automatically and the quality is average (not rubbish, but not super sharp, it's just good).

Ive tested Camtasia and Fraps, Camtasia is NOT a good option for gaming videos as the fps is about 5 or something.. Fraps got about 30 wich is good as the game has an fps of 40-50, but some frames never get taken and makes it all sucky..

Hypercam is my next option :)

Xfire is AMAZING for ingame one problem though.. the codec will not be recognized by many video editors.

You can try Growler Guncam. it's a free legit program... just google, then download. It's made for video games, but can be used to record stuff too. Quality is average.

Simple/fast to get is Hypercam, otherwise if you got time Camtasia.

Fraps is the sex for recording games. Whoever says it sucks is retarded and doesn't set the settings correctly. However, I have mine at like max and it is like 70+ fps on COD4. It also spits out a REALLY big file. When you upload to YouTube its quality worsens but it still pretty good.

Camtasia is good for small screen like rs. Not sure what's for full screen games.

I say Fraps, I've tried Camtasia, and it had a bad fps and quality. The only downside to Fraps is the large file sizes and with very demanding games such as Crysis if you don't have a killer computer, it's going to lag like a b*tch.

Get CamStudio for recording small apps like runescape; it FREE (and Open Source) and easy to use, unlike the other rubbish like hypercam.

There is this thing called AVIDemo (I have only heard of it) and it records in the best possible quality on your computer, and i am sure there is a way to get it for free.

avidemo is an ingame feature. You can do cl_avidemo [FPS] afaik
