View Full Version : Need audio help
Today I installed windows 7 beta, and now my audio is dead, lol.
My pc works fine and fast, its just: I can't hear anything.
There pops up a loudspeaker with a red X on it.
And I can't fix the drivers for it.
My boxes are:
Intel 82801FB ICH6 - High Definition Audio Controller [B-1] PCI
And my motherboard is:
ID: 03/11/2005-Grantsdale-6A79DM4GC-00
Name: MSI MS-7046 (Medion OEM)
My pc can fully handle windows 7 for sure.
Anyone who helps me out is getting PHR33 R3P!
Thanks in advance,
PvH
P.s. If you need any more details, just post it here.

Hoi. I am assuming you have checked if you have the latest drivers? Also, make sure it is not muted.
If that fails, boot on Ubuntu and see if your sound works there.

Try Ubuntu first. Maybe you will like it more than Windows.

so you did install newest drivers? you sure they are compatible with Windows 7?
32 or 64 bit windows? Oh and is it beta or RC?`if beta, you could download RC and try with that.
ofcourse another thing you might try... well.. a bit useless advice I know but you could buy a cheap soundcard for your comp... Or is that one already non-integrated soundchip?

Its RC, drivers are updated.
And my soundcard is fine.

Try Enabling if its disabled, remove if it says its installed correctly
(From Device Manager)
Already tried that.
Didn't work out :(

Want to tell us how you did it? If someone else has the same problem. they could just check this topic, instead of making a new one?
Went to medion.com and download latest drivers.
Mod close pl0x.
