ok looked around for a bit as im am wanting to create a bot of some sort.
so bots such as rsbot basicaslly read info send by runescape and then inject their own info and the injecting part is wat makes it detectable am i right? also was written in java
autorune is writen in borland delphi i think and was just wondering how it actually worked? didit, like rsbot, read the info send and then inject its own info and also was it detectable?
i know how to script for scar learning delphi should be easier than a whole new language so was just wondering what people think. java or delphi for creating a bot
cheers
Wait, what exactly are you asking? :o Haha sorry, a bit slow (4:14 AM)

Perhaps you should just stick to SCAR scripting. I think creating a java bot would be over your head. It also doesn't exactly fortify your goal to create a bot considering you have no idea how AutoRune and RSBot work.
But regardless, if you still wish to create one I suggest you use off-site resources and learn java since everything will stem off the client. And just so you know, AutoRune was a packet interceptor.

It modified packets and sent them to Jagex's server to automate processes.

Well, theres a powerful tool called Google that has virtually everything in existence under its belt. If I had any advice, it would be to utilize its power.
Well SCAR is pretty simple (well, more simple than RSBot, in my opinion). It just looks for colors, basically. :] It wouldn't be a simple task, but I think a bot similar to RSBot would be easier, as you can see the source code. :]
Good luck to you.

Edit your posts, please. And like I said, RSBot is open source, you should look at it. :D

sorry. yea i may, didnt autorune become open source at one stage? or am i just trippin?
I don't believe that either Auto-Rune, nor SCAR have ever been open source. =X Sowwy.

RSBot is not a packet injector, It is written in Java, It generates Mouse and Key Events.
AutoRune was a packet injector which basically played by sending information to RS. (More or less it stimulates the client).
SCAR is your way.

TBH , if you want to make a bot, stay with SCAR and make your own include.

RSBot uses Reflection as well as a small amount of injection.
AutoRune is dead as Jagex figured out how to stop the packet sending.
If you REALLY want to learn how to write your own bot, as people said, check google and learn how to read the Client, either that, or look into Copying a Clients to a bitmap and creating the functions similar to SCAR. :)
