well dont macro on an account you cant afford to loose.... but

they cannot detect the methods of finding colors on the screen. the types of calls used by scar are kernel level calls that are interpreted by the java client the same exact way that mouse movements and keyboard clicks are. likewise the color finding procedure is a kernel level call that gets the pixels that will be displayed directly to the screen, grabs the values and makes a bitmap

the answer is no (from using scar alone), they will catch you because of a script that has bad antiban or you macro too long

Can someone tell me why he got banned though?
I'm running a bit behind things but that's just because I was admiring the lulz of this situation.
I remember seeing a thread named 1.5k or something like that. does it have to do with this?

Offtopic ftw? :p PvH got a ban for insulting other members multiple times :\

As for whether SCAR is detectable, answer is no. Jagex was bluffing, their systems are no better than they were a month ago. The announcement seems to be just something to make it seem to the public that they're doing something. And I've heard from a couple people that you DO get appeals.

haha, sorry, got mixed up on what thread I was on -,-

and yeah I don't think scar is any more detectable now.
Jagex was probably talking about stuff like RSBot and Ibot.

Actually even RSBot and iBot didn't get affected much. There WERE mass bans on RSBot, but that's only because absolutely nobody was banned the last month or so. iBot was barely hit hard at all (or so I've heard), I believe they use the same things as us (color+reflection)?

Jagex wasn't bluffing, it just did no better finding the SCAR :D
Basically they can catch RSBot now, so no worries for SCAR.

If they could catch RSBot, all RSBotters would be banned, yet 90% of their community is still going strong, as far as I know.

I think that they use reflection and BCEL, the latter of which we do not use.

No they definitely don't use BCEL. Their admins released a statement saying the update was targeted at RSBot and BCEL botters.

What? RSBot uses BCEL.

Oh, whoops. Yeah, they only use color and reflection, like us.

Runescape could detect autos. They could have this one trojan like thing in their client that could read your memory. but I doubt that they did that or else this one account in my army should be definetly banned. I auto like 6+ hours a day on him with my cow killer and now hes level 61 and still not banned.

They can't detect SCAR, because it can't be told apart from a human.

So long as your script is good, you should be fine. WT-F still has his army- over a year old- going strong.

Take care of your bots, and they'll live for a good while. :)

Oh my God. I hate when people say that they auto 6 hours a day and don't get banned. I've said it so many times that I auto up to 18 hours a day. People really do play that game a lot sometimes. I'm pretty sure you only get flagged if you get reported, so stop worrying.

Lol trojan like thing. A trojan is completely different from a memory reading program. Plus i don't think it's legal for Jagex to use any methods like that unless they re wrote their terms of agreement and such.

Exactly! How do you think the top players gain millions of xp in such a short amount of time. It's doubtful they auto considering how much xp they have. Anyway, they don't get that by just playing a couple hours a day.

Sure, the longer you auto, chances are there is a better chance of getting banned, but I doubt Jagex is going to ban you for playing over 10 hours a day.

Thanks, Coh3n :] And again, check it as often as you can because you can do some small things legit and it'll be much less chance of being banned.

(Last two posts + this one = /thread).

I've had a 32 hour proggy straight sleep every 8 mins and didn't get banned on my old pure :garfield:. It was in port khazard, the only reason to be there is the fishcake rfd part. I was just doing flourpower there x[]

Yeah. I don't even take breaks when I auto (usually) and when I do it's for a very small amount of time after a long time of running.
