Hi, what could be wrong with the DHCP server on my router? I have been using eth0 [Ethernet] fine, just WLAN connections are not working now, and they get assigned 169.254.xx.xx IP addresses, like the DHCP is corrupt.. but if I connect via Ethernet, it works fine. It is not hardware with the PC's problem, it does not work with wireless on a few PCs..

The funny thing is, I have not gone into the router's CP for a few days, and I have a custom password set. So, what's wrong? :\

Two of the boxes are Windows I have tried, one is a Mac. They are too stupid to use Linux anyways, so do not suggest that.

Halp please, thanks.

Have you got one of those secure firewall things that look like this:

No, I do not.

Also, it is weird. It shows as tried to send out 3k packets, yet it receives 0 back.

Just try doing a hard reset of the router (the little reset button on the back) and just re-do your settings

I did actually already. I disabled WEP and it works now  The password was never changed. If I reset the WEP password, it does not work again. Keep password off -> it works. Bloody buggy router. Well, at least WLAN works now; though insecure...

Bah, you shouldn't be using WEP anyway. Use WPA or WPA2, they're more secure.

Well, just encryption in general failed on it. I was going to dd-wrt onto it, until I realized my router was not supported. :(

That happened to me. However, when I used WPA, it worked fine.
