This is my first tutorial and i wrote because i was annoyed wanted to help others.

If you get any funny error or have any problem, following the steps of this tutorial please leave a reply with the actual step and error message recieved.

1) Download and install svn. This is a command-line client for downloading the most up-to-date source-code.
2) Make sure this is installed and working by opening a command prompt and typing:

svn help
and you should see the help.

3) In a command prompt, type:

For Vista:

svn co http://www.villavu.com/repositories/srl/ C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\SRL\

For XP or worse:

svn co http://www.villavu.com/repositories/srl/ "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Desktop\SRL\"

and hit Enter. This should now list a lot of lines, these are the files being downloaded and saved to a folder on the Desktop.

4) Wait until it says "Checked out rev 35" <-- revision #35 is the latest at the time of writing.

5) Now close the command prompt.

6) Right click on the SRL folder and click cut.

7) Goto the place you installed SCAR, (default is "C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.20d\".

8) Goto the "Includes" folder, and right click and click paste.

9) If any popup messages occur, click "Yes to All", or "Copy to".

Now this is one of the most important steps, a step that causes the most brutal of errors. MOVING THE PLUGINS.

10) open the Includes/SRL folder, there should be a "place inside plugins folder" folder, open this, and hightlight everything, right click and click copy.

11) Go back two folders so you can see the Includes, Scripts, Fonts and Help folders, enter the "Plugins" folder, and paste.

12) Press "Yes to all" or "Copy to".

Now you finished. You should now be able to run scripts or script using the fantastic SCAR Resource Library (which is what SRL stands for!).

P.S. this is mainly aimed at Windows users, because if you use *nix you should be 1337 enough to update files yourself!

EDIT: you should use open-dev now, to keep up with the latest SRL updates. To do this, just substitute step 3 with these comands

For Vista:

svn co http://www.villavu.com/repositories/srl-opendev/ C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\SRL\

For XP or worse:

svn co http://www.villavu.com/repositories/srl-opendev/ "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Desktop\SRL\"
