Overall help needed.

Okay.
So I need to know what I should be changing, adding, or taking out of a public script.

I have absolutely no idea what do do, except add my name and password to the script. Help?

That's all you need to do. Put in your Username/password (for RuneScape) and take 3-4 letters of your username for your nickname.

So if your username was Zezima, you should lose ezim or zim or zima or ima. Try not to use capitals/spaces :)

First, make sure you have all the includes and plugins you need.

Then, fill in the stuff you need to do... If the script is SMART (you'll know if it is because it will say {.include SCAR/SRL/SMART} thats not the exact directory thats the best I can remember) you don't need to fill in any colors, thats probably already given...

Otherwise if its not SMART enabled you probably should fill in the colors yourself but I've only used SMART scripts so far so I can't be sure tbh.

What script is it? Because some mining scripts need you to pick colors, and some don't. Also, if it's not a S.M.A.R.T. script, you need to drag the crosshair to the RS game. :)

And I've tried a bunch of other East Varrock ones that don't work for me as well.

Do you know any working mining/banking ones?

As for a working ess miner and banker, there is one in the junior members section, and to be a junior member, you need to be here for 1 week, and have ten posts.

But I used Goblin Shredder and it worked okay.

OK, go to SCAR-File, and right above the thing that says download includes, what's the next thing above that? If it's not update SRL SVN then you made a mistake installing SVN.

I don't think you can get a full set of includes from SCAR... you have to download a lot of software... The best stuff is TortoiseSVN, and then checkout all stuff from a URL into the SRL folder (which is probably empty at the moment).

What SRL includes are is basically shortcuts of common procedures and functions. All good scripters use includes so if you don't have includes, the script you have is useless.

I will have that link for you to checkout from in a moment. But you should definitely download SVN and Tortoise SVN. You can find those from Google

EDIT: Ok, I have the SVN checkout URL for Reflection, another important include. Once you have SRL you should create a folder called reflection in SRL/SRL (should b with core and misc.) this is the link = http://scarreflection.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/
